Bio
My name is Stephanie Nunez and I am an experienced writer and tutor determined to help others in lower income communities through grant writing. I am looking to use my writing as a tool to assist others, helping students in public schools, navigating affordable housing, or raising funds for foundations doing meaningful work.
I have been long familiar with the ecosystem of low income communities, specifically the housing system and how residents can gain access to affordable solutions. Additionally, I have studied the issues with the system throughout the course of my education and have only become more passionate about change within it. As a peer tutor at NYU, I have assisted students in their academic goals, writing techniques, and fostering improvement and confidence through their words.
I currently hold a Masters in Professional Writing from New York University as well as a Bachelors in Sociology from The City College of New York. Born and raised in the South Bronx and a dedicated writer since childhood, my upbringing has driven the bulk of my educational pursuits and goals to implement the experience into an improved society for all. When I am not writing, you can find me crocheting, enjoying a TV show or two, and spending quality time with my dog Ruby.
“The art of art, the glory of expression and the sunshine of the light of letters, is simplicity.”
